ESG! have earned a spot at this year's DreamHack Summer event with a 2-1 victory over Epsilon in the qualifier at Inferno Online Stockholm.
The qualifier featured a total of 13 teams from all over Sweden, including a high profile trio of Lemondogs, Absolute Legends and Epsilon.
Absolute Legends, who played under the name Crave Gaming, had in this tournament their first test with Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi as a replacement for Joel "emilio" Mako, but they were given a bitter pill to swallow as they were defeated by Epsilon 2-0 in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Lemondogs, playing with Joel "emilio" Mako as a stand-in, did not fare any better, and were, too, eliminated in the last-four stage, courtesy of a 2-0 defeat at the hands of ESG!.
schneider's Epsilon fell short against ESG!
If reaching the final was already an impressive accomplishment for this mix team, ESG! took it even one step further and defeated Epsilon 2-1 (14-16 on de_inferno_se, 16-4 on de_dust2_se, 16-12 on de_train_se).
